Relationships usually play a crucial role in human life and procreation. But does it mean that none of us could survive and be happy without them?

1. Is society pushing you?
From songs to advertisement to daily chitchat, we are surrounded by the topic of love. There is no way of escape. Conventions dictate that everyone has to be in a relationship in order to be happy. However, it is not always true.
If you are unhappy, ask yourself: do you want to be with someone or just to be accepted by society? You may be ok on your own without even realizing it yet.
2. Are you able to trust the other?
This can be very difficult for those who learned too much or who went through abuse. Trusting is risky, but it is also a fundament for a good relationship. Maybe you are not ready for it yet.
3. Are you a perfectionist towards the other?
Analyse your standards for a partner. Consider that people are not perfect. If you are unable to review your expectations, ask yourself if you really need someone. If yes, do your best at searching for the right person.
4. Are you satisfied with your life?
If yes, you can just leave it be. Even if your situation seems weird, there is nothing wrong if it makes you happy.
If no, think about what could be done: change something, connect to people, visit a psychologist, etc.
